Lord Wei speaks on the relationship between the United Kingdom and China

On November 7th 2013, there was a debate in the House of Lords on the relationship between the UK and China. The full notes in Hansard can be found here. Lord Wei spoke during the debate, highlighting the many things we have in common with China including:
- our historical journeys from an agricultural society to an industrial and then knowledge economy, with all the attendant environmental, social, and political issues that this creates.
- a common economic interest and thirdly
- a love of learning.
